Videos from the recently held Workshop on Self-sustaining Systems (S3) 2008 are now available on the workshop website. Includes talks by Ian Piumarta on "Object Lambda Architectures", Christophe Rhodes on SBCL, [create Dan Ingalls] on Squeak running in the browser and Richard Gabriel on Self (? nope, not on Self the language, see the comments). I've not watched any of those, yet. Please leave a note if you did :)

gabriel's talk is not about Self the language. he talks about design and evolution, and self-maintenance.
interesting: genetic algorithm generated circuit to discern between 1khz and 10khz signals with no clock is "...probably the most bizarre, mysterious, and unconventional unconstrained evolved circuit yet reported." (starting at minute 28, the rest is just <time to reflect>)
