by earl, 6556 days ago
A/A+ are vector languages in the tradition of APL but geared towards high-performance time series processing created in 1988 by Arthur Whitney at [create Morgan Stanley]. A became A+ when it was enriched (somewhen around 1992) with GUI capabilities. A+ was open-sourced in 2001.

A/A+ are predecessors of Arthur Whitney's K and Q languages.
