To create this, I scraped the family tree of APL as provided by HOPL. Generated GML from that. Used yEd to layout the graph. Improved that to a visually appealing graphic by hammering chris with a load of sample png's :)
If you want to do that for your pet language and don't fear REBOL and linux shells, feel free to play around.
