Steve Dekorte released the garbage collector used in Io, a "simple tri-color, Baker treadmill" collector as libgarbagecollector. The library seems allocator agnostic, (de)allocation is completely left to the user who registers 'free' callback with the collector to get notified once objects are ripe for collection.
