Darcs 2 is out! -- Along with a release announcement which, at least in my ears, conveys a feeling as if darcs, the project, is in it's final throes: "If I knew how to easily make darcs dramatically faster, I would have done so."For my typically rather small personal projects, I enjoy darcs a lot. And I still do so every day, even though I started toying around with Git lately. I dearly hope, that David Roundy will find a few apt contributors helping him in driving darcs forward.
The reality of spam has (unfortunately) cought up with Google Mail: "Google's bot-busting CAPTCHA for Gmail was defeated sometime in February. According to sources around the anti-spam industry, the result has been a marked increase in spam originating from Gmail SMTP servers."
