Dept. JavaScript, web-x86: "If it wasn't for the fact that programming in Javascript is so obtuse, the idea of handing complete responsibility for 'View' generation and near-complete responsibility for Model 'business rules' validation to the Web Browser would make perfect sense." ~Goes on to praise [create Pyjamas] and [create GWT] as the long-needed saviours. Well, written by one of the authors of Pyjamas. Warning: long, rambling; but also contains gems like: "The traditional HTML-only Web browser, which was very much a 'Thin Client' affair, is fast becoming a proper 'Applications Environment', albeit one which has restricted Internet access." Oh, the irony! |
