A simple, text-based messaging protocol. Clients are available for all major languages (e.g. C, Java, Python, Ruby). Server-side support mainly in ActiveMQ, as well as in simpler Ruby ("StompServer") and Java ("Gozirra") implementations. Also available is a server ("StompConnect") that bridges to JMS.- http://stomp.codehaus.org/
