"The upcoming release of AspectWerkz (0.9) will have support for a new definition model in which the aspects are self-defined. This means that implementation and definition is written in the same self-contained component. [..] The meta-data (aspect definition) is defined using runtime attributes. [..] Currently the runtime attributes implementation is based on JavaDoc tags. These are parsed and inserted into the class on bytecode level."
