ramblings about e-commerce (urgh) experiences - especially concerning music - have been dominating here in the past. but today it's time to sing the praise for a especially positive experience: Manning's ebooks. a system working as it should: buying an ebook from manning is trivially done via credit card. you get a full, uncrippled pdf! that means, you can extract text and pictures and print the thing (for personal use), with a very liberal license and the usual copyright laws applying. further, an ebook is 50% off the printed version's price. and, *drums*, if you decide later to purchase the printed book, you even get the ebook's price discounted! molto fantastico! :) i'm happy now ...
